סט צילום רביעי - בית הכברות הצבאי

The fourth shoot was a very emotional one, as it took place in the graveyard. In the Druze religion, we don't use tombstones when burying the dead let alone have graveyards, but an exception was made for the fallen soldiers in honor of their sacrifice. My great grandfather was the first Druze fallen soldier in the country and seeing his name on the plack was a very emotional experience. What I also tried to capture in this test was the irony of the abundance of nature and life in a place to remember the dead. Although the weather was still cloudy in this shoot as well I actually think it was better suiting for these pictures in light of the gravity of the place. One visual obstacle I did come across was not being able to take proper pictures of the sign on the outside due to two poles that were situated right in front of the sign.
